Infertility / IVF Support
Acupuncture is a safe and effective treatment for infertility, which has been proven by both the World Health Organisation and the British Acupuncture Council; it also increases the chance of successful conception throughout the IVF procedure.
I have a particular interest in acupuncture for infertility and it has been a big part of my acupuncture practice since 1985.

Menopause
All the results of studies show that acupuncture can effectively treat hypo-ovarianism, hot flushes, irritability, anxiety, depression, insomnia and fatigue.
It is believed that acupuncture can aid the body's own adaptive changes to hormones and relieve menopause symptoms. Besides, acupuncture can activate your self-healing capacity, enhance the life energy flow, trigger the body to produce endorphins and serotonin --- the body’s natural pain-relieving and “feel-good” chemicals, relax the nervous system, soothe stress, increase self-confidence, correct the body’s imbalance, reduce the sympathetic nerve activities, help to ensure a proper night's sleep and assist with weight loss.
Male Sexual Dysfunction
The World Health Organisation has illustrated the therapeutic effect of acupuncture for male sexual dysfunction. Acupuncture directly taps into the autonomic nervous system and has clinically been shown to naturally release the neurotransmitters responsible for erection. It can also relax the nervous system, soothe stress, promote self-confidence, increase local microcirculation and blood flow, and release a significant amount of testosterone into the blood stream; as well as strengthen the body’s ability to clear out the excess factors and give control over the ejaculatory function.
Acupuncture not only treats sexual dysfunction symptoms, but also helps with the physical and psychological causes of these symptoms.
